The extension of Little League to accommodate older players as they prepare for school ball. Focuses on the continued development of baseball fundamentals. Follows regular baseball rules.
- Pitching follows the Little League pitch limit and mandatory rest requirements
- Uses a traditional batting order with substitutions and follows Little League minimum play standards
- Players play multiple positions in the field while focusing advanced skill players in key positions
- Stealing and lead-offs are allowed
- Base paths (80 feet) and pitching distance (54 feet) are lengthened
- Scores and standings are maintained
- Practice is one to two times per week on weeknights
- Games are held twice per week, once on a weeknight and once on Saturdays
- Some games are played against other local Little League programs
- Players are placed on teams using an evaluation and draft system to allow for evenly distributed talent and competitive teams
- An All-Star team (or teams) is formed at the end of the spring season to compete in Little League International tournaments
