Special Request Policy

Policy Coverage: All special requests for teammates, coaches, and practice / game days / times are covered under this policy.

Policy

• East Marietta does not accept special requests for teammates, coaches, or certain days of the week / times of the day except under certain exceptions

• Exceptions

• Divisions where no player draft is held
• Exceptional medical conditions or family situations

• Submission of qualifying special requests

• Any qualifying special request must be submitted during the registration process using the official registration tool
• No request submitted outside of the official registration tool will be considered

• Application of qualifying special requests

• No qualifying special requests are guaranteed
• East Marietta will make a reasonable effort to comply with the qualifying special request during the team assignment period

Explanation

East Marietta holds player drafts to fairly and evenly distribute talent across all teams in a division with the goal of competitive play for all teams in the division.  Adding special requests to the draft process undermines and impedes the goal of competitive play.  All divisions except Tee Ball and Farm Ball hold mandatory player drafts.  On occasion, a draft will be held for the Farm Ball division.

East Marietta is cognizant of certain circumstances that require special requests.  These circumstances like player physical or mental disabilities, immediate family member severe sickness or disease, and religious restrictions will be considered during team assignment while keeping competitive play in mind.
